St Oliver Plunkett’s Club Notes

Congratulations to our Scor na nog musicians who won the Dublin county final last Wednesday.  They now go on to represent Dublin in the Leinster Semi-Final in Downes G.A.A. Club, Mullingar on Sunday 6th December at 3:00pm. Congratulations to everyone involved & beir bua leo i Laighean. All support greatly appreciated.

Tickets for our Club Christmas Draw, with a prize fund of €5,000, are now available from all Team Mentors, Club Shop and Bar. Tickets for this year’s draw are priced at €50 each which includes admission to the club house on the night of the Draw, 20th December 2009, for a memorable club night of music, entertainment & food. All support is greatly appreciated.

Westmanstown Gaels Club Notes


There were no games played last weekend due to the weather. All training for all teams continues as normal.
A small number of tickets are available for the dinner dance on November 28: See Matt on Saturday morning or in the club shop.
The juvenile Christmas party in the clubhouse will take place on December 13 at 2pm; mentors and coaches will have more details. All members are invited.

Round Towers Club Notes


No games took place this weekend due to bad weather.
The senior footballers face St Maur’s this Sunday at 11am in Rush in their promotion play-off.
A club race night will take place on Saturday, December 5  in Harolds Cross. Tickets are €20 and include return transport by bus, entry to track, programme, entry to €1,000 draw and a draw for 10 x €100 prizes. For tickets, contact Paddy Delaney, Jimmy Lee or Richard Keane.
A reunion of the 2004 hurling/football minor championship-winning teams will take place on Friday, November 27. A DVD of matches, food and music. Everybody welcome, particularly parents, friends and others associated with these teams. A chance to recall those heady days and meet all those involved.
Congratulations to the ladies’ football section who won the Dublin Medium-sized Club of the Year award at Friday night’s ladies’ football awards in the Red Cow Hotel.
Bingo continues every Tuesday evening in the club at 8pm.
The club shop is open every Monday evening from 7.30pm until 8.45pm; there is a large number of items currently in stock.
Last week’s Lotto numbers were 7, 9, 20 and 26. There was no winner of the jackpot of €6,600. Congratulations to Ciaran O’Sullivan, Frances Leddy, BJ Fitzpatrick, Gerry Mahon and Barbara O’Flaherty, who were the five €100 winners. Next week’s jackpot is €6,800.



St Pat’s Palmerstown Club Notes


Due to the weather, no on-field activities took place this week. The Under-21 hurling championship is next Saturday at home to Naomh Olaf at 2.45pm, while the senior footballers are away to Naomh Olaf on Sunday in league at 11am.
Our thanks to all who turned out for Mass for deceased members in the clubhouse on Saturday last and to Fr Reilly our sincere thanks for celebrating the Mass and the blessing of the clubhouse.
Members please note that the AGM takes place this Thursday in clubhouse at 8pm.
Club shop open each Wednesday from 6 to 7.30pm and on Saturdays 10 to 11.30am.
Members are asked to return their Christmas raffle tickets to PRO Noel Fagan ASAP.

Lotto: Numbers drawn were 2, 13, 17 and 27. There was no winner of the €3,200 jackpot. No winner of any 3 numbers drawn. Four lucky dips winners were Joe Keeley, Andy Slater, Helen Connolly and Aidan McDonnell, and each receive €50. Next week’s jackpot is €3,400.
