Westmastown Gaels Club Notes

The Under-12s game against St Brigid’s of Castleknock was cancelled due to unplayable pitches.
December 12 will be the last training sessions until the January 9, 2010.
The Christmas party in the clubhouse is on Sunday, December 13. The fun starts at 2pm, all members and families are welcome.
The club shop will close on December 13.
The Under-12s’ pictorial of the 2009 season is available to buy in the shop, contact Ciara.
The chairman and committee wish all our members and families a peaceful Christmas and New Year.

Round Towers Club Notes

THE senior footballers were beaten in their promotion play off against St Maur’s on Sunday.
The intermediate hurlers were beaten in their cup final versus Setanta on Friday.
Congratulations to the U-16 and U-11 Footballers who won the Shield and league respectively.
The U-21 footballers face Trinity Gaels this Saturday at 2.30pm away in the championship semi-final.
Thanks to all who attended and supported the club’s race night which took place on Saturday. A special thanks is due to Paddy Delaney, Jimmy Lee and Richard Keane who organised the event.
Membership for the coming year is now due; new member forms and renewal forms for existing members are available in the clubhouse.
Bingo continues every Tuesday evening in the club at 8pm.
Macheff (Featuring Bren Boland and other former members of Dublin’s Own) play in the club on St Stephen’s night. Tickets are €10 and are available behind the bar or from the social committee. Please get tickets in advance as it will sell out.
The club shop is open every Monday evening from 7.30pm until 8.45pm. There is a large amount of items currently in stock.
The club is available for hire for functions – 21sts, birthdays, etc – contact Jimmy in the club for more information.
This week’s lotto numbers were 2, 4, 12 and 17.
There was no winner of the jackpot of €7,000.

Next week’s jackpot will be €7,200.

St Pat’s Palmerstown Club Notes

Highlight of the weekend was the children’s Christmas party which took place in the clubhouse on Sunday evening where not one, but two, Santas arrived. Our sincere thanks to the organising committee and to all the parents who helped out on the day.
To date only two adult playing members, Cathal Burns and Ciaran O’Toole have returned their Christmas raffle tickets so please get your tickets back to the chairman ASAP.
Congratulations to Liam Rushe who was nominated at centre forward on the Dubs’ Bluestar hurling team.

Lotto numbers drawn were 12, 19, 28 and 29. There was no winner of the €3,600 jackpot. Match any three numbers winners were May McHugh and Mulvanney and each receive €100.

Lucan Sarsfields Club Notes

CONGRATULATIONS to Orla Beagan (U-13) and Michelle Kelly (U-16) who won Dublin player of the year awards, and also to Michelle who won the U-16 intercounty award.

Club calendars are on sale this week, an ideal Christmas present featuring all teams within the club.

Ballyboden Wanderers Club Notes

Thanks to all who attended this year’s AGM and congratulations to those who were elected to the committee.
Congratulations to Nicci Daly who has been selected on the first-ever ladies’ Blue Star team to play the Dublin senior team on December 29 in Kilmacud Crokes. All support welcome.
There was no winner of last week’s lotto. Number drawn were 11, 17 and 30.

Naomh Olaf Club Notes

Congratulations to St Olaf’s NS girls’ football team who won the Cumann na mBunscol Corn na Laoch final in Croke Park last Wednesday. They sealed victory with a last-minute goal to win by two points on a scoreline of 2-7 to 1-8. Congratulations to the girls and school principal, Gerry Murphy.
Work starts on the installation of the new floodlights this week, weather permitting. Well done to everyone involved in raising €15,000 in such a short space of time.
