Westmanstown Gaels Club Notes

UNDER-8s hosted St Mark’s in the Go Games match and won.
Under-15 girls played St James’ Gaels at home and won. Well done to both teams.
Training for all teams continues at the usual times.
Nursery every Saturday morning at 10am sharp, and is open to boys and girls from five years.
New members for all teams are always welcome
As part of the Lucan Festival we are holding a Ceili in Westmanstown Sports Centre at 8pm on Saturday, September 1, all welcome. Tickets available from coaches or payable on the night, and for more info on this event or the club, visit http://www.westmanstowngaels.ie.

Erin Go Bragh Club Notes

Erin Go Bragh’s U-9s made the trip up the M50 to Na Dubh Gall on Saturday morning and played their part in a wonderful game of football. It was both teams’ first football game after the summer break. The game which was decided by the narrowest of margins and saw both teams score some great points from play and skill points as well.
Our U-13 boys came out on top recently when they travelled to Glenaulin Park, Palmerston. The game finished Erin go Bragh 5-12, St Pat’s 3-3.
Our U-14 camogie team recently won the U-14 camogie second place play-off against Cuala.
Thanks to all those who supported our U-13s fundraising efforts last Saturday in Dunnes of Ongar.
Our junior hurlers will be playing the next round of the championship against the Civil Service in Islandbridge by the end of September.  Date and time to be confirmed.

There was no winner of the lotto jackpot last week. Numbers drawn were 2, 3, 6 and 23. Next week’s jackpot is €8,200.

St Peregrine’s Club Notes

Commiserations to the senior footballers who were unable to get past UCD this year to the next round of the championship.
Meanwhile, the minor hurlers face a replay after their drawn match.
The club wishes to communicate important notices and events to members through the use of SMS web text to mobile phones.  We ask all members to supply their names and mobile phone numbers via email to pro@cnp.ie to avail of this service.
The lottery jackpot was not won. Numbers drawn were 6, 7, 12 and 28. Next week’s jackpot is €5,400.
Details of a major club fundraising night at the dogs on Saturday, October 30 are being circulated.
So far there has been a great interest shown and we urge all teams, mentors, players and members to become active and involved in this fundraiser intended to the benefit of maintenance of all club facilities.
Karen’s Kitchen caters on Saturday with curry specials and carvery on Sunday.

St Brigid’s Club Notes

A terrific performance from our inter footballers saw them crowned Junior A champions, defeating St Jude’s in the final. Well done to Noel, Dave Alan and Damien. It was great to see such good support in Parnell Park.
Hard luck to the Junior B footballers who lost out to St Vincent’s in their final. The lads never got going at all.
Good championship wins for our Senior and Senior 2 footballers over St Jude’s and Kilmacud Crokes.
U-16 hurlers played out a thrilling championship quarter-final draw with St Vincent’s after extra-time.
U-15 hurlers had a good league win over Castleknock. U-12 footballers had a very good win over Erin’s Isle. U-12Bs beat Scoil Ui Chonail. U-11s beat St Peregerine’s. U-15 footballers face Ballyboden in championship this Sunday at 11.30am in Cherryfield.
Minor footballers face St Pat’s (P) in championship on Sunday at 10.30am in Russell Park.
Senior hurlers face Lucan in their final championship group game at 5.45pm in Russell Park.
Inter hurlers face Thomas Davis at 5.45pm on Saturday in Russell Park.
Junior hurlers face O’Dwyers on Sunday at 10.30am in Balbriggin.
Hard luck to Eoin Kennedy and Egin Jenson who lost out narrowly in the All-Ireland 60×30 Semi-Final.
Club Lotto in Russell Park this Thursday with a jackpot of €7,400.
It’s that time of the year again, All-Ireland Football Final Forecast Competition. Anyone who feels they can fill or partially fill a Forecast card please contact John Fleming.

Tyrrelstown GAA announce Golf Classic

Tyrrelstown GAA would like to announce that they will be holding a golf classic in Hollystown golf course on Friday 15th October.
The price is €150 for a four ball and will include lunch, dinner and entertainment afterwards.
This Golf Classic is sure to be a very enjoyable event, professionally run, and is guaranteed to project a positive image of both Tyrrelstown GAA and the area in general.
Companies may prefer to sponsor a green for a small fee. For this, companies will be acknowledged on the actual green being sponsored, or you may wish to donate a prize.
This event will hopefully generate much needed funds for the general running of the club and its success depends largely on the friends of Tyrrelstown GAA club and its locality. All proceeds from this event will go directly to Tyrrelstown GAA club.

Erin Go Bragh Club Notes

Erin go Bragh v Cuala, U-14 camogie second place play-off is on Tuesday, August 31 at 6.30pm. Venue is the Camogie Grounds, Phoenix Park.  Please come out and support your local team.
Our junior hurlers are into the quarter final of the championship which will take place on September 5.  More information to follow.

St Peregrine’s Club Notes

Best wishes go to Emma Travers and Louise Kidd and the Dublin ladies’ footballers in the All-Ireland championship semi-final versus Laois.
Support our senior footballers in their championship match v Whitehall this Friday in Parnell Park, throw-in at 6.45pm.  Advanced coaching sessions in football and hurling skills take place up to September 8 for boys and girls from U-13 to U-16.  Each session lasts 90 minutes.  Contact your team mentor for details.
Mini-parish leagues are in action each evening this week. Finals are on Sunday.

This Saturday sees a feast of hurling with an U-11 blitz and a Leinster U-12s tournament. Volunteers are asked to help out on the day to ensure a successful day of sport.
