‘Go Bragh 2…10 v 2…7 St Peregrines

Eirn go bragh played local rivals St Peregrines in AFL8 on sunday morning.
In the first half Erin Go Bragh started far better than their Blakestown rivals. Stephen Walsh scored an early point. Later, Robert Stephens clipped a nice point over from play and Paul Goodall increased the advantage with two points from free’s and two from play. St Peregrines began to come back with three late points at the end of the half but ‘Go Bragh went in with a four point advantage 0-7 to 0-3.

St Peregrines immediately put pressure on ‘Go Bragh’s back line. It was from Paul Goodall’s free that ‘Go Bragh grabbed their first goal. ‘Go Bragh were eight points up. St Peregrines replied with a nice point before grabbing a goal, they were now only four points down. Robert Stephens had a good free from the right and soon afterwards, Stephen Walsh from 8 yards out and buried the ball to the top left corner of the net to finish off a wonderful flowing move. ‘Go Bragh were eight points up yet again.St Peregrines hit back with a couple of late points. Dan Stephens ended any hopes of a comeback with another point for ‘Go Bragh. Peregrines managed a last-minute goal but it was a case of too little too late.
