Round Towers Club Notes

The official launch of the club’s pitch development plans for Monastery Road takes place this Saturday, September 18 – Macheef provide the entertainment – all are welcome.
A flag weekend for fundraising will take place all weekend to coincide with the All-Ireland football final weekend – we are looking for volunteers to give up two hours at any time from Friday evening to Sunday evening to assist with this – please contact Padraig MacCarthy or Niall Connaughton on 0879067924 or 0876290870.
The senior footballers were beaten by Raheny in Russell Park in the championship.
The minor hurlers beat St Oliver Plunkett’s in the championship.
The junior footballers beat Thomas Davis in the league
Congratulations to the U-11 footballers who won the Division one league today and the U-16s and minor hurlers who beat Skerries Harps and Oliver Plunkett’s respectively in the championship.
Best of luck to Suzanne Murray, Hannah Tyrrell and Andrea Bowe who are all on the Dublin B panel to face Cork in the All-Ireland final this Sunday in Cashel.
A juvenile disco for all children up to U-10s takes place this Friday in the clubhouse – it runs from 7.30 to 9pm and admission is €5. All welcome.
All Round Tower members can now receive a 10% discount on production on their membership card at the new steakhouse, The Grill Room in Kingswood – where the Kingswood Country House was.
Congratulations to Tom and Mary Reid who were the winners of last week’s lotto jackpot worth €6,200. The winning numbers were 4, 10, 12 and 16. The club lotto can be played in the club, from various outlets in Clondalkin village and at the Mill Shopping Centre every Saturday. Next week’s jackpot is €2,600.

Subject to Round Tower GAA club’s annual golf classic is on Friday, August 27 in Grangecastle Golf Club – a team of three costs €210, tee-box sponsorship is €50, and a team of three and tee-box sponsorship is available for €250.

Bingo is on on Tuesday evenings in the club at 8.30pm.

Round Towers Club Notes

THE junior hurlers were beaten by Naomh Fionbarra in the league while the junior footballers drew with Lucan Sarsfields in the league.

The 32nd annual club Mass for deceased members takes place in the clubrooms on July 7 at 8pm.
The Club Committee wishes to invite all members, past and present and also relatives and friends of deceased members to attend and asks that, if possible, people be seated by 7.45pm.
Bingo continues on Tuesday nights from 8.30pm in the clubhouse.
€10 for a book of 11 games one of which is a Jackpot Rollover.
Between the Posts is now available online on the club site. Round Tower GAA Club presents ‘A Night At the Dogs’ on Friday, July 2.
The night is taking place at Harold’s Cross Greyhound Stadium and tickets  cost €10.
These will entitle the bearer to admission to Harolds Cross, transport to and from the GAA Club and entry to a Euro 1,000 buster draw.
Music will be provided in the club rooms on the night by Johnny Peters and tickets can be purchased from Paddy Delaney, Jimmy Lee or Dick Keane.

Round Towers Club Notes

The senior footballers beat St Brigid’s in the league.
Congratulations to Matthew McLoughlin, Shane Scapaticci and Darren Gilligan who all represented the victorious South Dublin team in the Dublin U-12 Kevin Aherne tournament.
Junior bingo and games is on in the club this Friday from 7 to 9pm for nursery age to nine, and then Morning after Phil plays from 9.30pm to 11.30pm for 15-year-olds and up. For more details see http://www.roundtower.ie.

Round Towers Club Notes

Thanks to all involved in the annual race night which took place on Friday last in the club. Special thanks due to the race night committee and all those who bought and sold horses, ads, etc. All outstanding monies should be returned to the race night committee.
The intermediate hurlers beat O’Toole’s and the junior hurlers were beaten by St Brendan’s, both in the cup.
The intermediate footballers were beaten by Man of War in the cup and the minor footballers beat Oliver Plunkett’s in the league.
All players are required to be fully paid-up members before training or playing, otherwise, if you suffer an injury, you will not be insured.
An Easter camp for 13 to 16-year-olds will be run. The cost of the camp is €30 and full details can be found on http://www.roundtower.ie.

The senior footballers beat Cuala in the league.
The intermediate footballers were beaten by Ballymun and the junior footballers received a walkover from Parnell’s.
The minor hurlers beat St Brigid’s in the league.
Congratulations to the senior ladies footballers who won the Marianne Costello 9-a-side memorial tournament in St Peregrine’s on Saturday last.
Andrea Bowe was named as the player of the tournament.
Come along this Saturday to watch Ireland compete for the Triple Crown v Scotland at 5pm.
Then Dublin play Cork in the NFL at 7.30pm — both games live on the biggest screen in the village.

The senior footballer game were beaten by St Anne’s by a point at Bohernabreena on Saturday.
The senior hurlers drew with Na Fianna and the junior hurlers were beaten by St Sylvester’s, both in the cup.
The intermediate footballers beat Ballymun and the junior footballers drew with Park Rangers, both in the cup too.
All players are required to be fully paid up members before training or playing – otherwise if you suffer an injury you will not be insured.
Bingo continues every Tuesday at 8pm in the club.
