Foxrock Cabinteely Club notes

The juvenile championships commenced last weekend. We had 11 teams taking part from under-11 through to under-16 and the vast majority of teams came away with a win.
The match of the weekend was the U-14s who beat Templeogue Synge Street by the narrowest of margins.
The team trailed by eight points after 20 minutes but with great link work by Orla Kavanagh, Niamh Ryan and Ciara Crotty they managed to add several goals to the scoreline and turn the match around.
There was a great turnout of over 40 girls for the Under-9 girls blitz. Well Done to Dermot, Tony, Orla and John for organising the competition.
The club plans to organise a bus to the All-Ireland Ladies’ Football final on September 26. If you are interested in attending, please let your mentor know.

Foxrock Cabinteely Club Notes

Congratulations to our U-16 girls, Emma McDonagh, Emma Lennon and Emily Carville and the Dublin U-16 team on their All-Ireland championship win over Kerry on Saturday in Banagher.
Emma McDonagh played a crucial role in midfield, contributing several vital scores. The club is very proud of these girls’ achievements.
The club ran a hugely successful School of Excellence camp last week for the older girls in the club. This was led by Gordon McMillan and Armagh legend, Oisin McConville.
Gaelic For Mums has resumed after the summer break. Training will take place on Tuesday nights at 7pm in Kilboggett.
Congratulations to all the girls who received their Leaving Cert results last week.
Good luck to all the girls starting secondary school this week.

Round three of the juvenile leagues took place this weekend with some great wins from U-11s up to U-16s.
Match of the weekend was the U-12As, who were beaten by a very strong O’Toole’s side by the narrowest of margins.
The game was played in a very sporting competitive fashion, and Fox-Cab, despite being down by nine points at the first half came back to finish very strongly.
There are no juvenile matches fixed for the next two weeks, except for any back matches.
Good luck to senior player, Elaine Bolger, as she heads off to Malawi to do some charity work next week.

Foxrock Cabinteely Club Notes

The new juvenile season got off to a flying start with eight of our teams in action.
The U-13As beat Crokes, reversing the result of last season’s championship final. Both U-11 teams are new into competitive football and both came away with maximum points.
Well done to our Dublin U-16 representatives, Emily Carvill, Emma Lennon and Emma McDonagh, who beat Meath in the first round of the championship.
A reminder that registrations are due. All mentors, please ensure that all your players are registered. For further info contact Diarmuid Byrne on 0868108007.
