Ballyboden St Enda’s Club Notes

Team of the week: Senior A ladies’ football team on winning tenth championship title (Finnian Hyland, Declan O’Reilly, Dan O’Sullivan, Vivian Ruddy)
Championship wins for senior football, Under-16 and both minor hurling teams.

Junior Art Exhibition – The closing date for entries is Sunday, October 10 at 1pm and the children can drop off their work to Katie Daly or one of the other Art Society members at the club on October 9 or 10.
The award ceremony will be held on Sunday, October 17. There are five groups: 6 years and under, 7 to 10 years old, 11 to 13 years old, 14 to 18 years old; Special Needs – Young adults and Children 18 years and under.

Ballyboden St Enda’s Club Notes

The president of the GAA, Christy Cooney, will perform the official opening of the completed Sancta Maria development on Saturday, August 28 at 7pm. This will be preceded by a series of intra-club games from 5pm, followed by light refreshments in the clubhouse.
The senior A camogie team has successfully defended the league title won last year. Well done to Richie Sweetnam, management and squad.
Hard luck to the senior B camogie team; Dublin footballers and U-21 hurlers.
Senior A and junior B hurlers had good wins in the league and championship.

There were good wins for the senior B and junior C hurlers.
Congratulations to Peter Buckeridge, Niall McMorrow and Finn McGarry on reaching the Leinster U-21 hurling final and to Ciaran Maguire and players on reaching Leinster minor hurling final.
The U-16 hurlers did superbly to reach the semi-finals of Carlow Town All-Ireland blitz.
Congratulations to junior hurler Kevin and Vicki Dooley on the birth of Bobby.
Well done to Fergal Ó’Riain for organising the first handball blitz in the club for juveniles.

THE senior A hurlers drew with Crumlin in the opening game of the league.
Declan Keating had his first senior A start.

Ballyboden St Enda’s Club Notes

THE senior footballers showed good form to defeat St Vincent’s for first league win of the season. The intermediate footballers were pipped by a point by St Sylvester’s.   St. Patrick’s (Palmerstown) overcame the junior Bs by two goals. The minor hurlers defeated Castleknock.
The junior C football team performed well in Den Haag tournament.
The social committee in the club organised a traditional music session in the bar on St Patrick’s Day from 5pm to 8pm.
The U-16 hurlers welcomed Kilnadeema Leitrim club from Galway on St Patrick’s Day. A challenge match took place in Sancta Maria all-weather pitch.
Boden Theatre Group presents a selection of Comedies and Sketches directed by Joe Kearney on Wednesday, March 24, to Saturday, March 27 at 9pm. Tickets in the clubhouse.

THE special guests at the gala dinner next Tuesday, March 16 will be Dublin football manager, Pat Gilroy, and recently retired Wexford hurling goalkeeper, Damien Fitzhenry.  600 tickets sold: Time running out so get yours from any of those listed on the website.
Well done to Ciara Lucey who scored the winning point for Dublin senior camogie team against Clare in the National League.
Congratulations to Fiona Ní Shúilleabháin who made her debut for the Dublin Junior team against Roscommon.

Well done to the junior B footballers who opened their league with a fine win.  The minor A hurlers drew with Erins Isle on their opening assignment.
