Feile na nGael rescheduled for coming weekend

Following last weekend’s adverse weather, the hurling Feile na nGael has been rescheduled for this Saturday and Sunday, May 23 and 24.

Division 1, featuring Cuala, Ballyboden St Enda’s and Kilmacud Crokes, gets underway in Silverpark from 10am. The five-team group will see the top two make it through to Sunday’s final, to be played at Naomh Mearnog.

Russell Park will play host to St Brigid’s and Castleknock’s group in the Division 2. St Oliver Plunketts/ER feature on the other side of the draw together with Faugh’s. The first matches thrown in at 10.45am with subsequent matches following up at 11.45am and a12.45pm. The Navan Road venue will also host a semi-final at 4pm, with the other semi being held in Tymon Park. 

The Division 3 matches for Lucan Sarsfields and Round Towers are set to be played in Rush. The pair play each other at 10.45am, before going on to face host club St Maur’s, and Thomas Davis.

Ballinteer St John’s contest Division 4 in Liffey Park, against Liffey Gaels, Skerries Harps and St Jude’s B.

St Peregrine’s and Naomh Olaf play in Division 5 in St Anne’s, with Raheny and Good Counsel providing their opposition.

Finally, Cuala B’s play in a three-team group in Division 6 in Clonshaugh. Craobh Chiarain and St Anne’s are the other two sides in their group.

The finals of all the divisions will be held in Portmarnock on Sunday.
