Fingal Ravens Club Notes

Well done to our Div 11 N team who had a good away win over Oliver Plunkett’s ER on Saturday and, in doing so, have gained promotion.
Senior team had a good win last Tuesday against St Maur’s in Garristown, but were defeated by Lucan Sarsfields on Saturday in Balgriffin in the senior championship; we wish Lucan Sarsfields the best of luck in the next round.
Thanks to everyone who helped out hosting the intermediate championship matches on Sunday morning and to Tom for having the pitch in pristine condition.
Our annual duck race will take place on Sunday, September 26, we ask everyone to please support this fundraiser; contact Ann 086-1771027 or Nick 087-2214992 to purchase ducks.
Karaoke night in the Pound on Saturday, September 25 at 8pm, tickets are limited, contact any of the ladies team to get your ticket.
Congratulations to Ian Donnelly and his partner Trish on the birth of their daughter, Sienna Jean.
Also best of luck to Colin Prendeville and Orla Reilly on their travels.
Lotto numbers drawn were 6, 8, 16 and 31;. There was no winner; €20 to Nigel Duffy, Damien McGovern and Wendy Gilford; €50 seller’s prize Darragh Kavanagh.

Fingal Ravens Club Notes

Our annual golf classic takes place in Swords Open on Saturday, September 4, with a meal afterwards in Kettle’s. Later on there will be prize-giving and an auction. To book your tee times contact Pat Kinsella on 087-9313045.

Junior D play St Anne’s in the quarter-final at 10.30am on Sunday in Rolestown.
Junior A team play St Jude’s in the semi-final at 6pm on Sunday in Blakestown.

The minor team had a great win away to Fingallians in the league on Sunday morning.
Well done to Cormac and Ross O’Neill on their first match for the Dublin U-15 team that was played in Balgriffin on Saturday against Louth and Sligo.

The U-10s had a great trip up to Cavan on Saturday; thanks to their mentors for organising this.

Div 11N team play Man-O-War away at 7.45pm on Thursday and Naomh Barrog at home at 3pm on Sunday.

Minors had two good league wins over the weekend, Clontarf on Friday evening and at home to Castleknock on Sunday. The third team drew with St Margaret’s in the cup.
Next Sunday all adult teams have league games: Div 1 Vs St Vincent’s away at 10.30am, Div 5 play Clontarf in St Anne’s Park. at 12pm and Div 11 play St Monica’s at home at 3pm..

Poker classic in Kettles Hotel on Thursday, March 25; tickets are €50; contact Peter Kettle on 087-9957429.
All adult teams had good wins at home on Sunday. The Division 1 team put in a superb performance against Ballymun Kickhams, The Division 5 team got their first points in the league against Good Counsel, and the Division 11 team continued their great start to the season with a win over St Finian’s (S).
The girls’ U-11 team played their first ever game at home on Saturday evening, in a  great match resulting in a narrow loss for Ravens; some great displays from all the girls. Well done, girls, keep up the good work.
Next Sunday, the minors play Castleknock in the league at home at 11am and third team play St Margaret’s in Rolestown at 12.30pm in the cup.

THERE is a poker classic in Kettle’s Hotel on Thursday, March 25; tickets €50, contact Peter Kettle to book your ticket.
The minor team beat St Sylvester’s in the league by a point, the second team had a good away win against St Anne’s and the third team continued their good start to the year with an away win against Erin’s Isle.
All adult teams play league games at home next Sunday: Division 1 vs Ballymun Kickhams at 10.30am, Division 5 vs Good Counsel at 12pm, and Div 11N vs St Finian’s (S) at 3pm.
