Win tickets to Dublin Ladies’ All Ireland Decider

We have eight pairs of tickets to see Dublin take on Tyrone in the final of the TG4 Senior All Ireland Championships at Croke Park on September 26, next.

The Senior final throws in at 4pm, and the game is part of a triple header with the Intermediate Final Waterford v Donegal) and the Junior Final (Limerick v Louth) also being decided.

The Junior final gets the day of Ladies Football action under way at 12 noon, and it is followed by the Intermediate final at 2pm.

Round Towers Club Notes

The official launch of the club’s pitch development plans for Monastery Road takes place this Saturday, September 18 – Macheef provide the entertainment – all are welcome.
A flag weekend for fundraising will take place all weekend to coincide with the All-Ireland football final weekend – we are looking for volunteers to give up two hours at any time from Friday evening to Sunday evening to assist with this – please contact Padraig MacCarthy or Niall Connaughton on 0879067924 or 0876290870.
The senior footballers were beaten by Raheny in Russell Park in the championship.
The minor hurlers beat St Oliver Plunkett’s in the championship.
The junior footballers beat Thomas Davis in the league
Congratulations to the U-11 footballers who won the Division one league today and the U-16s and minor hurlers who beat Skerries Harps and Oliver Plunkett’s respectively in the championship.
Best of luck to Suzanne Murray, Hannah Tyrrell and Andrea Bowe who are all on the Dublin B panel to face Cork in the All-Ireland final this Sunday in Cashel.
A juvenile disco for all children up to U-10s takes place this Friday in the clubhouse – it runs from 7.30 to 9pm and admission is €5. All welcome.
All Round Tower members can now receive a 10% discount on production on their membership card at the new steakhouse, The Grill Room in Kingswood – where the Kingswood Country House was.
Congratulations to Tom and Mary Reid who were the winners of last week’s lotto jackpot worth €6,200. The winning numbers were 4, 10, 12 and 16. The club lotto can be played in the club, from various outlets in Clondalkin village and at the Mill Shopping Centre every Saturday. Next week’s jackpot is €2,600.

St Pat’s Palmerstown Club Notes

in juvenile football, our Under-8s, 9s and 10s played Lucan Sarsfields, St James’ Gaels and Cuala, while 11s two team won one and lost one against Naomh Olaf and 12s beat Lucan Sarsfields.
Big hurling championship matches this weekend with seniors at home to Kilmacud Crokes on Saturday at 5.45pm and juniors at home on Sunday in quarter-final against Raheny at 10.30am on Sunday, while minor footballers were away in championship to St Brigid’s at 10.30am.
Club shop now open on Wednesdays from 6pm to 7.30pm and on Saturdays from 10am to 11.30am
St Pats have now reached the last five in the competion for the Nivea for Men final which takes in Glenaulin on Thursday, September 23 at 6.30. Please support your club.
Senior executive meeting takes this Thursday in clubhouse at 8.30pm

Lucan Sarsfields Club Notes

Eve of All Ireland entertainment in 12th Lock on Saturday night with Mulligan from 9.30pm.
Quiz season starts this week. Come along and enjoy sociable and educational evenings for the benefit of all the teams in the club. Great championship win for senior footballers on Saturday night vs Fingal Ravens, and wins also for intermediate footballers and minor hurlers.
Date for diary: Saturday, September 25 is fun day in 12th Lock, from 1pm to 7pm.  Friday, October 1 sees Life after Santa Ponsa play hosted in 12th Lock.
Saturday, October 23 is Casino Night, being run by professional entertainment company.
Lucan Sarsfields’ golf society next outing is September 18 to Turvey Golf Club. Great value at €25. All welcome. Contact any committee member for more details.  Lucan Club Shop is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7.30 to 8.30pm, and Saturdays from 10.30 to 11.30am.

It’s time to start getting our Scór na nÓg teams together.  Scór is the GAA’s talent competition and comprises eight categories – céilí dancing, solo singing, trad music, recitation, ballad group, question time, novelty act and set dancing. If your talents lie in any of these areas and you’d like to take part contact Barbara O’Neill at 086 3782419 or barbaraoneill@eircom.net.
Well done to our U-9s and 10s who hosted Ballinastraw Gaels from Co Wexford and to all who helped provide a great example of Castleknock hospitality to our visitors from the Model County.
All our teams are back training and new players of all ages are very welcome to give Castleknock GAA a go.

St Oliver Plunkett’s Club Notes

Commiserations to our Junior B Footballers on their Championship semi-final defeat to Skerries Harps.
The team have done the club particularly proud this season: being promoted to Division 7 and progressing as far as the B Championship semi-final only one season after capturing the C Championship crown.
Congratulations to our Senior Footballers on their Championship fourth-round victory over Ballymun Kickhams.

Westmanstown Gaels Club Notes

UNDER-8s hosted St Mark’s in the Go Games match and won.
Under-15 girls played St James’ Gaels at home and won. Well done to both teams.
Training for all teams continues at the usual times.
Nursery every Saturday morning at 10am sharp, and is open to boys and girls from five years.
New members for all teams are always welcome

Erin Go Bragh Club Notes

Erin Go Bragh’s U-9s made the trip up the M50 to Na Dubh Gall on Saturday morning and played their part in a wonderful game of football. It was both teams’ first football game after the summer break. The game which was decided by the narrowest of margins and saw both teams score some great points from play and skill points as well.
Our U-13 boys came out on top recently when they travelled to Glenaulin Park, Palmerston. The game finished Erin go Bragh 5-12, St Pat’s 3-3.
Our U-14 camogie team recently won the U-14 camogie second place play-off against Cuala.
Thanks to all those who supported our U-13s fundraising efforts last Saturday in Dunnes of Ongar.
Our junior hurlers will be playing the next round of the championship against the Civil Service in Islandbridge by the end of September.  Date and time to be confirmed.

Commiserations to the senior footballers who were unable to get past UCD this year to the next round of the championship.
Meanwhile, the minor hurlers face a replay after their drawn match.

St Brigid’s Club Notes

A terrific performance from our inter footballers saw them crowned Junior A champions, defeating St Jude’s in the final. Well done to Noel, Dave Alan and Damien. It was great to see such good support in Parnell Park.
Hard luck to the Junior B footballers who lost out to St Vincent’s in their final. The lads never got going at all.
Good championship wins for our Senior and Senior 2 footballers over St Jude’s and Kilmacud Crokes.
U-16 hurlers played out a thrilling championship quarter-final draw with St Vincent’s after extra-time.
U-15 hurlers had a good league win over Castleknock. U-12 footballers had a very good win over Erin’s Isle. U-12Bs beat Scoil Ui Chonail. U-11s beat St Peregerine’s. U-15 footballers face Ballyboden in championship this Sunday at 11.30am in Cherryfield.
Minor footballers face St Pat’s (P) in championship on Sunday at 10.30am in Russell Park.
Senior hurlers face Lucan in their final championship group game at 5.45pm in Russell Park.
Inter hurlers face Thomas Davis at 5.45pm on Saturday in Russell Park.

Hard luck to Eoin Kennedy and Egin Jenson who lost out narrowly in the All-Ireland 60×30 Semi-Final.
